Angola coach, Pedro Gonçalves is anticipating a special game against Ghana in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Palancas Negras will be hosted by the Black Stars in their opener of the qualifiers scheduled for September 2 later this year at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Ahead of the game, Gonçalves speaking in an interview said he is hoping for a special game against the four-time African champions despite losing in their previous encounter.

“It’s a special game for me because last time we played and we gave a very good performance in Kumasi but unfortunately we conceded a goal in the last minute which gave Ghana a win," he told Ghanasportspage.

Angola are in Group F alongside Niger and Sudan. The first two teams will secure a place in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) that will be hosted in Morocco.
