2026 World Cup qualifiers: FIFA names Libya's Ahmed Abdulrazak as referee for Ghana's game against C.A.R

Ahmed Abdulrazak from Libya has been appointed as the Centre Referee for the FIFA World Cup Matchday 4 Group I qualifier between Ghana and the Central African Republic, according to FIFA.

Assisting Abdulrazak will be his compatriots Mohammed Basim as Assistant I, Al Jahawe Wahed as Assistant II, and Huraywidah Abdulwahid as the Fourth Referee.

FIFA has named Hadqa Yahya from Morocco as the Referee Assessor for the match, while Holland-Cole Kasho Joseph from Sierra Leone will serve as the Match Commissioner.

The match between Ghana and the Central African Republic is scheduled to take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday, June 10, 2024, starting at 19:00 Hrs.

Ghana currently occupies the 4th position in Group I with 3 points, while the Central African Republic is in 5th place with 1 point after two group games.

The Black Stars secured a 1-0 victory against Madagascar in the opening game but suffered a defeat to Comoros in the second group game back in November last year.
