Amankwah Mireku named as Bisty FC head coach

Former Accra Hearts of Oak skipper Yaw Amankwah Mireku has been appointed as head coach of Konongo-based third-tier side Bisty FC.

Footballmadeinghana.com can exclusively reveal that the Phobian legend was given the job over the weekend and he has been tasked to propel the club to the first division and also nurture talents.

Mireku was the skipper of Hearts of Oak when they won the CAF Confederations Cup in 2004 and has already done some of the CAF License coaching courses.

He becomes the second Hearts of Oak player from their Confederations Cup winning team to enter coaching with the first being Dan Oppong who handing Division One Zone One side Young Apostles.
