Bekoe backs inform Yahaya Mohammed for Black Stars call-up
Former Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe says Yahaya Mohammed exploits in the ongoing Ghana Premier League merit a senior national team call-up.
According to him, the Aduana Stars marksman deserves a place in the CK Akonnor’s team for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Sudan next month following his outstanding performance for his club.
“Yahaya deserves to be in the team because he is doing it for Aduana Stars. We don’t have to argue whether or not the player should be handed a call up. If he is performing why should he be left out of the squad” he said.
He added that, the bring back the love tagline could materialize if players plying their trade in the country are given the chance to contribute their quota.
Yahaya Mohammed has bagged 10 goals in ten matches for the Dormaa Based club in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
