Edwin Gyasi to miss Samsunspor clash with Altay after a minor set back

Samsunspor will miss the service of Ghana winger Edwin Gyasi after picking up a minor injury ahead of their clash with Altay on Sunday.

The 29-year-old forward has been impressive after joining the club from CSKA Sofia this summer.

However, Gyasi, unfortunately, suffered the set back during a training session ahead of the clash.

The winger is currently working separately with team physiotherapists at the team at the Nuri Asan Facilities.

"It's a sad situation for me and the team but I will surely bounce back stronger than ever," Gyasi said.

"My teammates and the technical team were eager to see me play tomorrow but I am off due to a minor set back but I am fine and I know will return fit and better," he added.

Samsunspor will play Altay away at the Bornavo Stadium at 16:00GMT in the 2020/21 season.

The skilful and pacy forward was however in action when Samsunspor defeated Giresunspor in preseason last week.

Gyasi joined the club with a lot of prospects and will play a huge role as the club look to book their place in Turkish top-flight in the 2021/22 season.
