German-born Ghanaian youngster, Justin Diehl, has returned to team training with VfB Stuttgart after a minor ankle injury.

The offensive player, who recently joined the Swabians from FC Koln, was forced to leave the pitch during a friendly match against Oberliga team TSV Hollenbach. However, according to BILD, Diehl's injury was not severe, and he was back in action on Tuesday.

Diehl, who has signed a long-term contract with VfB Stuttgart until 2029, is a promising addition to the Bundesliga team. Despite attracting interest from top European clubs, Diehl opted to continue his football journey with VfB Stuttgart. This move is anticipated to significantly strengthen the team's offensive capabilities in the coming years.

In the previous season, Diehl made six appearances in the Bundesliga. Prior to his move, he showcased his goal-scoring prowess in the Regionalliga West, netting twelve goals in 19 games for FC Koln II. In 2023, he played a pivotal role in FC Koln's U-19 team, helping them clinch the A-Junior Cup. Diehl has also represented the German Football Association's U-national teams on 19 occasions, four of which were for the U-20s.
