Samartex new shot stopper Japheth Norvienyo says he is eager to compete and give his all in order to push the club forward.

The 20-year-old shot stopper joins the Timber giants after ending his spell with fellow Premier League outfit, Nations FC.

The highly-rated goalkeeper penned a three-year deal with Samartex, keeping him at the club until 2027.

His acquisition strengthens the club’s goalkeeping department and adds a new dimension to the team.

He is expected to play a huge role for the Timber giants in the upcoming football season.

“I am here to work, compete and give everything to push the team forward” he said.

The agile shot-stopper's recent exploits were with Nations FC, where he featured in 14 games in the just-ended season.

Samartex are currently in the Eastern Region preparing for the new season. They will feature in three major competitions (FA Cup, Ghana Premier League and CAF Champions League).
