Speaking in an interview, Yahaya described Sowah as a very good striker, adding that he can become a key man for the Black Stars in the future.

For this to be possible, the ex-Aduana Stars striker has adviced the Medeama forward to stop being arrogant and get rid of his indiscipline.

“We have to prepare him well because he can become one of the top strikers for the Black Stars and Ghana but he should stop being arrogant and indiscipline. I'm just being honest with him because I like him," Yahaya Mohammed said in an interview with Mothers FM.

Jonathan Sowah is one of the 55 players selected by Ghana coach Chris Hughton in his provisional squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Yahaya Mohammed believes if the Medeama SC forward makes the final Ghana squad for the AFCON, he won’t be surprised.

"I won't be surprised if he makes the final squad because he deserves it,” the former Aduana Stars striker said.
