Ghana Premier League outfit Nsoatreman FC have completed the signing of promising defender Emmanuel Ankrah in the ongoing transfer window.

The highly-rated centre-back joins on a three-year deal from Bofoakwa Tano, who suffered relegation from the top-flight last term.

Ankrah was a top transfer target for several Ghana Premier League clubs following his outstanding performance in the recently concluded season.

The 19-year-old was on the radar of Kotoko and Ghana Premier League newcomers Young Apostles but he has decided to join Nsoatreman FC.

“We have agreed on a 3 year deal with a very young, talented and promising center back, Emmanuel Ankra. He's a perfect fit for the project of the club, where we look to develop young players like him for top level football” the club wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Ankrah was a standout performer for the Sunyani-based club despite relegation from the top-flight.

He was instrumental for Bofoakwa Tano, who reached the finals of the FA Cup, where they lost the title to regional rivals Nsoatreman FC.

The towering defender is expected to play a key role in the club's campaign next season, both domestically and in Africa.

Nsoatreman will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup next season. They will engage Elect Sport of Chad in the first round of the competition.
