FC Kaiserslautern's Managing Director, Thomas Hengen, says German born Ghanaian Ragnar Ache is the type of striker they wanted.

The 24-year-old former Germany youth international joined the German Bundesliga 2 side from Eintracht Frankfurt, with details of his contract undisclosed.

FC Kaiserslautern faced tough competition from several clubs, including Fortuna Düsseldorf, Hannover 96, and Furth, to secure the signing of Ragnar Ache.

Speaking about the new signing, FC Kaiserslautern's Managing Director of Football, Thomas Hengen, expressed his satisfaction with securing Ragnar Ache's services.

“Ragnar Ache is a type of striker that we really wanted to add to our squad. He has a very physical and dynamic style of play and increases our overall quality in the center of the attack.

Ragnar Ache played for Kaiserslautern on loan last season from Frankfurt.
