Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil achieved a significant milestone in his career by netting his debut Major League Soccer goal, propelling LA Galaxy to a commanding 3-1 victory over San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday. He also assisted the second goal for his side.

Paintsil, who recently joined LA Galaxy from Belgian powerhouse Genk, wasted no time in making his mark, impressing in only his second appearance for the club since his arrival in February.

The designated player showcased his goal-scoring prowess with a clinical strike from inside the box in the 18th minute, capitalizing on a precise pass from Mark Delgado to give LA Galaxy the early advantage.

Following the halftime interval, Paintsil remained a key figure in LA Galaxy’s attacking endeavors, playing a crucial role in the team’s third goal, which Riqui Puig scored.

Paintsil’s stellar performance earned him a standing ovation from the fans as he was substituted after 63 minutes, making way for Gabriel Pec to enter the fray.
