20/21 Ghana Premier League: Ashgold SC draw goalless with WAFA SC in Sogakope
WAFA SC and Ashanti Gold SC on Saturday, February 13, 2021, played out a goalless draw match when they locked horns in the Ghana Premier League.
The two clubs were in action this afternoon at the Sogakope Park to honour a date on matchday 14 of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league season.
Going into the encounter on the back of two successive defeats, Ashanti Gold SC set up strong in a bid to push for a defeat to bounce back from the poor run.
Although the visitors will enjoy good moments in the first half, they could not match the impressive play of WAFA SC and luckily went into the break on level pegging.
In the second half, both teams threw bodies forward hoping to get on the scoresheet to earn the much-needed results.
Unfortunately, no team managed to find the back of the net and have hence shared the spoils one point apiece.
Today’s result sees WAFA SC moving to 7th on the Ghana Premier League table while Ashanti Gold SC stays rooted to the 9th spot.
