20/21 Ghana Premier League: WAFA SC thrash Liberty Professionals 5-0 as Konadu Yiadom nets brace
Teenager Konadu Yiadom bagged a brace on Sunday afternoon to inspire WAFA SC to thrash Liberty Professionals 5-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
The Academy lads today hosted the Scientific Soccer Lads at the Sogakope Park for a matchday 11 encounter in the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league season.
Despite the pulsating encounter that ensued in the first half, neither side could get on the scoresheet and had to settle for a draw at the end of the first half.
Ten minutes into the second half, Konadu Yiadom opened the scoring for WAFA SC when he scored with a smart finish.
Later on, Marvin Owusu also found the back of the net to double the lead for the home team before Samson Agyapong and Augustine Boakye also got in on the scoring.
In the 80th minute, Konadu Yiadom scored again to complete his brace while condemning Liberty Professionals to a 5-0 defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
