AshantiGold failed to maintain their unbeaten home record following a 1-0 defeat to Liberty Professionals on Sunday.
The Miners are moving downwards into the middle of the table after initially starting the season brightly.
They had recorded three wins and three draws at home before this tie.
Kwaku Karikari, an Obuasi-born player, delivered the finishing blow for the visitors in the 39th minute.
The hosts pushed hard for the equalizer but the scienfic soccer lads held on to end their poor streak.
Ashantigold are now 9th on the log and Liberty Professionals are 14th.
