2021 Ghana Premier League: Hearts coach Samuel Boadu believes his experience at Medeama helped him beat WAFA

Hearts of Oak coach, Samuel Boadu, claims playing WAFA earlier in the season with Medeama helped the Phobians thrash the Academy boys on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.

Coach Samuel Boadu got his Hearts of Oak career off to a flying start as he guided his side to an emphatic 4-0 victory against WAFA on match day 17 at the Accra sports stadium.

The win gave the Phobians their third win in four games since the departure of Kosta Papic.

Earlier this season, coach Boadu had led Medeama in a thrilling encounter against the same side, losing 5-4 to the Sogakope based club.

"It's a normal thing."

"We played with WAFA when I was at Medeama and during the first half we conceded 4 goals in the first half, we came back strongly to cancel all four goals before they got another chance to score so I know the team very well," he said in a post-match interview as quoted by ghanasoccernet.com.

"So with Hearts, I decide that we don't allow them to possess the ball so we can take advantage of them."

"Not really," he said when asked if he knew his players well.

"They are very good players but there are one or two things that I have to add up."
