Former Aduana Stars coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin has said that the immediate past Ghana Premier League campaign was very competitive.

Fabin, who has switched to Legon Cities led the Dormaa-based club to a second place finish in the 2022/23 campaign.

The Ogya Boys were on course to clinch their third Premier League title after staying on top of the league standings for several weeks but unfortunately lost steam towards the end of the season. Medeama SC took advantage of their slip-up to win their first ever league title.

“Last season, the league was very competitive. I disagree with people who say otherwise. I feel we have to get good pitches. If we can get good pitches all over the country, we will see a lot of development in our game.”

Aduana Stars finished the season in 2nd position on the league standings with 55 points, 5 points behind champions Medeama.

Meanwhile, the experienced tactician will lead Legon Cities, who finished 9th last season in the upcoming campaign. He will hope to make an immediate impact at the club.
