Veteran striker John Antwi expresses immense pride in Dreams FC's historic journey to the CAF Confederation Cup semifinals.

With six goals in 12 matches, the former Al Ahly star has played a pivotal role in Dreams FC's remarkable campaign, defying expectations at every turn.

Established in 2009, Dreams FC's unexpected success, including their recent victory over Malian side Stade Malien, has been a testament to their exceptional performance and resilience. Now, they are poised to face Zamalek in the next stage of the tournament.

Reflecting on this achievement, Antwi said, "It means a lot to me, honestly being part of this young team breaking barriers on the continent, which lots of people didn’t expect from us is a great feeling.

"So I’m very happy with the little I have added to the team which has brought us this far,” he told CAF.

Having returned to Dreams FC last year after successful stints abroad, Antwi brings invaluable experience to the team.

He holds prestigious titles such as the all-time highest foreign scorer in the Egyptian Premier League with 78 goals and the all-time highest foreign scorer in all competitions with Egyptian clubs with 102 goals.
