2023/24 Ghana Premier League: Week 25 Match Preview – Asante Kotoko vs. Nsoatreman FC

Published on: 11 April 2024

In a highly competitive clash, Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC will battle it out in matchday 25 of the Ghana Premier League on Thursday evening.

Both teams go into the game on the back of draw in their previous games in the domestic top-flight. Kotoko played out a pulsating goalless stalemate with Bechem United whiles Nsoatreman FC also recorded a 0-0 draw with Berekum Chelsea.

The Porcupine Warriors has been poor in their last five games, losing four and drawing just one across the period. In a bid to turn things around, coach Prosper Narteh Ogum must come up with a strategy that can yield a positive result for the Ghanaian giants.

Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum's team found themselves in the 10th position on the standings after 24 matches so far this season. They are five points away from relegation and five points away from the top four places.

Having suffered defeats at the Baba Yara Stadium to Accra Lions and Nations FC, the Porcupine Warriors will be aiming for a win to change the narrative in the week 25 clash.

Kotoko suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nsoatreman FC in the first round of the campaign and are aiming for a revenge in the return fixture.

In the last three meetings, Kotoko have managed one win, one draw and one defeat.

Nsoatreman FC, on the other hand, has been in dismal form in the second half of the campaign, derailing their Premier League title challenge.

The Nsoatre-based club were in contention for the title but a dip in form has hampered their chances this time. They have managed only one win in their last five games, losing three and drawing one across the period.

Maxwell Konadu’s side are 9th on the league standings with 34 points and a win against the Ghanaian giants could push them further on the log.
