2023/24 Ghana Premier League week 29: Heart of Lions 1-0 Nsoatrmen – Report
Heart of Lions picked a crucial 1-0 win over Nsoatreman FC at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday in match week 29 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League to enhance their chances of surviving relegation.
The win courtesy of a first half goal means the top flight returnees are one point away from safety now but are still second from bottom with 32 points.
Meanwhile, Nsoatreman remain fifth despite the defeat with 42 points, ten points away from the relegation zone and ten away from the top.
The only goal of the game came after 26 minutes through Mustapha Yakubu’s strike to seal an important win.
With this win, Heart of Lions have now picked seven points from a possible nine after winning two and draw once in their last three games.
Looking ahead, Heart of Lions will come up against Dreams FC in match week 30 of the Ghana Premier League to be played at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu.
Meanwhile, Nsoatreman take on Bibiani Gold Stars at the Nana Kromansah Park in their next league fixture.
