2023 AFCON Qualifiers: Brøndby IF forward Emmanuel Yeboah to earn maiden Black Stars invite for CAR clash
Brøndby IF forward Emmanuel Yeboah is in contention for a call-up to the Black Stars squad ahead of their upcoming clash against the Central African Republic (CAR).
The former CFR Cluj player has managed to capture the attention of Black Stars coach Chris Hughton, after impressing so well at the U23 AFCON tournament in Morocco.
Hughton is expected to name his squad for the crucial AFCON qualifier against CAR and it is said Yeboah can make the squad for the time in his career.
The Black Stars final qualifying match is scheduled to take place at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 7 as both teams eye qualification to the tournament to be staged in Ivory Coast in January 2024. Ghana need just a point to secure a spot at in the tournament.
Yeboah, popularly known as ’99 Ideas’ recently sealed a move to Brøndby IF after superlative performance for CFR Cluj and the Black Meteors.
The highly-rated attacker gain prominence following an outstanding performance for the Black Meteors at the AFCON U23 tournament, where Morocco emerged as winners.
Yeboah excelled despite the Black Meteors poor showing at the tournament, scoring three goals in 3 games.
