70% of our training are based on finishing – Nations FC coach Kasim Mingle

In a bid to get rid of goal scoring woes, Nations FC coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle has devoted 70 percent of their training sessions in recent times to finishing.

The Premier League debutants played out a pulsating goalless draw at the Dr Kwame Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.

Despite creating numerous scoring opportunities, the Abrankese-based club were unable to find the back of the net, as both teams settled for a draw.

“We shouldn’t draw in such a game. We created all the chances which was easy to score than to miss. Blame the players. They played and had the chances but wasted them”

“We’ve been working day in day out on our finishing, yet it hasn’t yielded any positive results. 70% of our training are based on finishing. I’m disappointed in the players because the chances came to them” he said.

Nations FC remains second on the Ghana Premier League standings with 45 points after 28 matches, seven points behind log leaders Samartex.

The Abrankese-based club will travel to Nalerigu to face Karela United in matchday 29 of the Ghana Premier League this weekend.
