Accra Lions gaffer Ibrahim Tanko rallies players to move on from Nations FC defeat

The head coach of Accra Lions, Ibrahim Tanko has urged his players to put the defeat to Nations FC behind them.

The coach and his team played as guests to Nations FC today in a Week 30 encounter of the Ghana Premier League campaign played at Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

Speaking to StarTimes in a post-match interview, Coach Ibrahim Tanko said although his team lost, he was impressed with the performance of his team.

“We played our normal game, we had more possession, especially in the first half but we lost. We will concentrate on the next game. That’s it,” coach Ibrahim Tanko said.

In the interview, the Accra Lions coach admitted that his team still needs to work on goal-scoring.

He said he they will continue working hard in training to ensure they score more in upcoming games.

“We have to keep working. That’s football. You have to keep working on your goalscoring and that’s what we are going to do,” coach Ibrahim Tanko noted.
