AFCON qualifiers: South Africa coach Ntseki working without a contract

The head coach for the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, Molefi Ntseki has been working without a contract since taking over from Stuart Baxter, footballghana.com can report.

South Africa is in the same Group with Ghana in the qualifiers to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) are hoping to progress at the end of the phase under Coach Ntseki.

Due to the rush in his appointment, the South African Football Association (SAFA) could not finalize his contract before he started preparing the team for their opening match in the qualifiers against the Black Stars.

Meanwhile, the acting CEO of SAFA Gay Mokoena has noted that he is confident the gaffer will agree to a contract very soon.

In a recent interview with the Sunday World, he shared, “We had a good meeting with Ntseki and his representatives. There things that we didn’t agree on that I wouldn’t like to share with the media”.

Gay Mokoena added, “Both parties agreed to take time to assess what was discussed but I am confident that by Tuesday will be done with everything.”
