The head coach of the Black Princesses, Yusif Basigi has provided an update on his players in camp ahead of the women’s tournament at the 13th African Games.

Speaking to the media team of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Coach Yusif Basigi said his players are working very hard in camp.

He said there is no pressure on the Black Princesses although the team has targeted winning the trophy at the African Games.

“There is no pressure when you have good players in the team even though the dynamics of the game keeps changing. I don’t have any pressure going into this tournament. We will take it one game at a time.

“Preparation is going on well but we are expecting some few players who are with the Black Queens and Ampem Darkoa Ladies to join us. The rest of the players in camp are working very hard and those away are also training and in shape. We are waiting for them to come back so we get them together to get the core of the team,” Coach Yusif Basigi said as quoted on the GFA website.

The Black Princesses will kick off their campaign against Ethiopia on Saturday, March 9, at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

Subsequently, the Black Princesses will face off with their counterparts from Tanzania and Uganda in the other Group A matches.
