In a recent press conference, Ajax coach John Van 't Schip expressed his hopes for the recovery of top scorer Brian Brobbey ahead of the highly anticipated Klassieker.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian forward is currently nursing a hamstring injury, which forced him to miss the team's recent match against PEC Zwolle.

Despite the setback, Van 't Schip is not ready to rule out Brobbey's presence in the crucial match against Feyenoord on April 7. "No, that has not yet been written off, certainly not," he stated, emphasizing the ongoing efforts of the medical staff to prepare the striker for the upcoming game.

The Ajax coach, however, remained cautious about making any definitive statements regarding Brobbey's fitness.

"We are working towards that with Brobbey and the medical staff. Anyway, it's still very difficult to say anything about that," he concluded, leaving fans in suspense as the Klassieker approached.

Brobbey has made 25 appearances, scored 16 goals and assisted 7 goals in the Dutch top flight this season.
