Alhaji Akanbi was accused of taking a total of GHS 200 from Nkoranza Warriors boss, Leslie Kuuku Bartels to help the move of midfielder Emmanuel Sarkodie who has since signed for Asante Kotoko to the former African champions, which the Division One club’s boss denied.

Reports reaching FootballGhana.com from Oyerepa FM in Kumasi indicates that the 3 member committee formed to investigate the board member for Accra Hearts of Oak Alhaji Briamah Moro, known in football circles as Alhaji Akambi has exonerated him of any wrongdoings.

The committee was headed by Justice Ivy Heward-Mills with Frank Nelson and club Chief Executive Officer Frederick Moore as members.

The board is set to issue a statement in the coming days.
