Andre Ayew adds voice to 'Black Lives Matter' campaign

Ghanaian international, Andre Dede Ayew has added his voice to the 'Black Lives Matter' campaign in response to the killing of George Floyd, an African-American in the United States of America.

George Floyd died in Police custody last week following his arrest by the Minneapolis Police. An official post-mortem examination today has confirmed that indeed his death was a homicide caused by a cardiac arrest due to the restraining by the Minneapolis police officer who arrested him.

The response to his killing has triggered protests in a number of cities in the USA with the governor's forced to impose curfews on some of the cities as a safety measure to restore calm.

On social media, the campaign is also very present with teams and players sharing photos to offer support to the Black Lives Matter campaign.

Earlier today, Swansea City talisman, Andre Dede Ayew has joined the campaign with a short but powerful statement on his Twitter page.

"ENOUGH IS ENOUGh. BLM!!!!", the Black Stars captain posted. 

The likes of Liverpool FC and Chelsea have all posted pictures of players on one knee in training to add their voices to the Black Lives Matter Campaign.
