Ghana skipper Andre Ayew continued his impressive form for Le Havre as he scored in their 3-1 victory over Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Saturday afternoon.

Despite Strasbourg's dominance in possession, it was Le Havre who created more chances and ultimately secured the three points.

Before the clash, the head-to-head record between the two teams stood at Le Havre 0 win(s), Strasbourg 4 win(s), and 0 draw(s). However, Ayew and his teammates were determined to change that narrative. The 34-year-old started the game and lasted the full 90 minutes, leading his team to a hard-fought victory.

Yassine Kechta opened the scoring for Le Havre in the 24th minute with a powerful header from Josué Casimir's cross. Kechta then doubled the lead in the 65th minute with another header, this time from very close range. Frédéric Guilbert pulled one back for Strasbourg in the 86th minute with a header from Dilane Bakwa's cross, but Ayew had the final say in the game.

In the sixth minute of stoppage time, Ayew scored a brilliant left-footed goal from the left side of the box, assisted by Samuel Grandsir.

The goal sealed the victory for Le Havre and took Ayew's tally to five goals in 17 appearances in Ligue 1 this season.
