Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey says the Gunners approached their Tuesday night Premier League win over Chelsea with an attacking mentality from the start.

The temporary league leaders scored one in the first half and scored four in the second to condemn Chelsea to a 5-0 loss at the Emirates in an outstanding game.

Arsenal are now three points clear of Liverpool who have a game in hand and four points clear of Man City who also have two games in hand.

Thomas Partey started the game and featured for 72 minutes before he was subbed off for Jorginho

“It was a very good game, we went all out from the beginning because we knew how important this game was,” Mikel Arteta said after the game.

“If we don’t approach it right we are not able to win, but we did everything right and I’m really proud of the squad.”

Throughout this season, Thomas Partey has started only five Premier League games for Arsenal.
