Asante Kotoko closing in on Bofoakwa Tano defender Emmanuel Ankrah
Bofoakwa Tano defender Emmanuel Ankrah is close to joining Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the ongoing transfer window.
The Porcupine Warriors are in the market searching for quality players to beef up their squad following a disappointing performance last term.
Kotoko struggled in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League campaign, finishing sixth on the standings.
The Ghanaian giants parted ways with over 20 players to make way for new additions before the season commences in September this year.
Footballghana.com understands the Porcupine Warriors are close to sealing the acquisition of the highly-rated defender from Bofoakwa Tano.
The defender, whose initial price tag was GHC200,000 has agreed personal terms with the Ghanaian giants.
Meanwhile, Kotoko and Bofoakwa Tano are expected to reach a deal in the comings days for the transfer of the highly-rated defender.
Ankrah was one of the brightest spot for Bofoakwa Tano despite relegation to the lower-tier at the end of the campaign. He made 29 appearances in the Ghana Premier League.
The 19-year-old defender was pivotal for the Sunyani-based club when they reached the finals of the FA Cup last season.
