Asante Kotoko have denied moving their home venue from the Baba Yara Stadium ahead of their Ghana Premier League clash against Bechem United.

The Porcupine Warriors will host the Hunters in the week seven game as they seek to secure maximum points on home turf.

Reports went rife that the Ghanaian giants has decided not to use the Baba Yara Stadium for their game against Bechem United after failing to reach an agreement with the National Sports Authority on how tickets will be sold.

But a statement signed the clubs’ Administrative manager, Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi has denied such reports, insisting the game will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium.

“The management of Asante Kotoko SC would like to bring to the attention of the general public and its cherished supporters that it has never decided nor considered changing our home venue, Baba Yara Sports Stadium, which has been the heart of this football club in our prestigious football heritage, for any other alternate venue to honour our Premier League Match Day Seven fixture against Bechem United.

“The Club reiterates that the match will come on at the Baba Yara grounds on Sunday, October 29 at 3:00 pm with tickets going on sale at the gates alongside the purchase of tickets online.

We therefore call on all our loyal supporters to come in numbers to witness a great feast of football”
