Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are set to complete the acquisition of Berekum Chelsea defender Patrick Asiedu in the ongoing transfer window.
The Porcupine Warriors have had a busy market and are expected to seal the signing of the highly-rated left-back.
The 21-year-old delivered a top class performance for Berekum Chelsea, who finished third in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League campaign.
Asiedu’s outstanding performance caught the eyes of Asante Kotoko and other Ghana Premier League clubs.
According to reports, Kotoko and Chelsea have reached an agreement for the transfer of the defender in the ongoing transfer window.
He will travel to Kumasi to undergo his mandatory medical before he put pen to paper to become Kotoko’s player.
Asiedu will pen a three-year deal that will keep at the former Ghana Premier League winners until 2027.
Kotoko are desperate to make amends in the upcoming season following a disappointing performance last term, where the Porcupine Warriors finished sixth on the league log.
