Asante Kotoko strengthens defense with signing of Patrick Aseidu

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have officially announced the signing of left back Patrick Aseidu from Berekum Chelsea.
The club, known as the Porcupine Warriors, confirmed the acquisition via their official social media platforms, stating, "Asante Kotoko is pleased to announce the signing of talented left back Patrick Asiedu from Berekum Chelsea."
The 21-year-old defender penned a three-year deal with Asante Kotoko after successfully passing his mandatory medical on Friday afternoon.
Patrick Aseidu, who made 23 appearances for Berekum Chelsea last season and registered an assist, is set to compete with Sudan's Esmat Abdulhamid for the left-back position in the upcoming season.
Asante Kotoko, who faced significant defensive challenges last season, aims to bolster their defensive line with this acquisition. Patrick Aseidu will join his new teammates to prepare for the club's upcoming South Africa preseason tour.
The Kumasi-based club is actively preparing for the new season, hoping to improve upon their previous campaign's performance.
