Asante Kotoko suffer injury blow as Felix Annan faces three weeks out with ankle injury

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have been hit with bad news, as goalkeeper Felix Annan suffers an ankle injury ahead of the start of the new season, Footballghana.com can report.

Annan sustained the injury during the club's preparations for the 2019/20 GPL season at the Adako Jachie training complex.

The 25-year-old has been absence from the club's training session since Tuesday and is expected to be on the sidelines for two to three weeks.

Footballghana.com understands that Black Stars goalie will miss the club's first match in the new season which is expected to start on December 28.

The highly-rated goalkeeper is one of the finest shot-stoppers in the Ghana Premier League following his impressive performance in the past seasons.

He was voted the captain of Asante Kotoko following the departure of Amos Frimpong who left after the 2018/19 season to join AS Kaloum.
