Former Ashantigold forward Isaac Opoku Agyemang has lamented the decision of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to block his $5,000 a month salary transfer deal to Partizan Belgrade.

The GFA refused to release his International Transfer Certificate because of his alledged involvement in the Ashantigold and Inter Allies match-fixing sacnadal.

The 24-year-old made his Ghana Premier League breakthrough in the 2020/21 when Ashantigold were involved in the match-fixing scandal toward the end of the season.

The GFA Disciplinary Committee imposed various bans on the players of the two clubs.

After an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), he expressed his satisfaction with the verdict of CAS overturning the bans and awarding them compensation.

“It is good we have been exonerated but it is not a good news for me," he told Oyerepa Sports

"In 2021, I had a foreign deal in Serbia and signed for Partizan Belgrade but the GFA refused to release my ITC.The deal would have fetched me $5,000 a month as salary.”
