Footballghana.com can report that Obuasi Ashanti Gold is close to wrapping up the signing of midfielder Eric Esso to boost their squad before the start of the upcoming domestic league season.

The information available indicates that the defensive-minded midfielder has been training with the Miners in the past week in a bid to secure a permanent move.

Having impressed the technical handlers of the Yellow and Black side, the former Hearts of Lions man is now close to signing a contract that will see him playing at the Len Clay Sports Stadium when the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season starts.

The brother of Hearts of Oak’s Joseph Esso tasted action in Ashgold colours last weekend when they drew one-all with Regional rivals King Faisal.

Eric Esso’s move to the club could be completed in the next couple of days if final negotiations go as planned.
