Atl. Madrid confident Partey will sign contract extension
Reliable sources from Spain have revealed that Atletico Madrid remains confident that Thomas Partey will sign a contract extension very soon.
As reported by footballghana.com a couple of weeks ago, the Rojiblancos have offered the highly-rated Ghanaian midfielder a new contract that will see him earning more than has currently does.
In addition to that, the new contract will have the release clause of Thomas Partey being doubled from €50 million to €100 million.
While the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United continue to be linked with a likely move for the player in the summer transfer window, Atletico Madrid is hoping Thomas Partey will sign the new contract to ward them off or at least give them the upper hand in terms of negotiating.
Information coming in is that Atletico Madrid is getting the right feedback from the Ghanaian midfielder and is optimistic he will ink the dotted lines on the offered contract in no time.
Nonetheless, it is understood that Arsenal and Manchester United will not end their pursuit but will try to break the bank when the summer transfer window opens to sign Partey.
