Footballghana.com can report that agent of former Black Stars head coach Avram Grant, Rubie Saif has been banned for six weeks and slapped with a fine of £10,000 for his Twitter rants in August concerning the transfer of his client Bobby Duncan and Liverpool.

Bobby secured a move to Italian Serie A side AFC Fiorentina in the summer transfer window on the back of what Rubie Saif claimed the English Premier League side had 'bullied' his client.

Though the deal was eventually completed with the Viola paying £1.8million, the agent took to his official Twitter page to express his displeasure while accusing Liverpool of damaging Bobby Duncan’s mental health when they tried to keep him against his will.

Four months after the Twitter incident, the agent has received a six weeks ban from acting as an intermediary and is expected to pay a hefty fine of £10,000 as well.

According to the English FA, Rubie Saif’s comments on Twitter 'brought the game into disrepute', and was 'improper and/or insulting'.

In addition to the ban and fine, he will also have to complete an FA Education Programme within four months.
