Ghanaian midfielder Baba Alhassan recently stepped into a new chapter of his football journey with FC Steaua Bucuresti.
The Romanian giants secured the promising player's services with a substantial investment of 600,000 euros.
The midfielder's former club FC Hermannstadt in a unique arrangement, holds a 20% stake in any future transfer deals involving Alhassan.
According to Alhassan, his teammates have treated him very and he is enjoying the training sessions.
"I'm new to the team, but I don't feel like it. I was very well received in the team and it is a pleasure to be in this situation. Training is good, I just started. It's normal to be tired now. If I don't work hard it won't help me in matches. I need this type of training," he told FCSB TV.
"They don't treat me and Filipe as new players. We have been here for 3-4 days, but everything is ok. The period in Spain was very important, it made me realize what football is like. It helped me a lot mentally," he added.
His choice of jersey number, 42, is a homage to his idol, Yaya Toure. Toure, a football legend known for his prowess and versatility, began his journey wearing the number 24 jersey, eventually transitioning to the iconic number 42.
