Veteran coach, Bashir Hayford has proposed to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to build academies across all the regions of the country.

According to the former Black Queens head coach, the era of colts football is gradually fading away with owners of colts clubs venturing into the new age of academies.

“Academy Football is an advanced form of Colts Football. Most countries in the world and in Africa have moved from colts football to academy football. Those who are supposed to train players at the colts are now establishing academies”, Coach Bashir Hayford shared in an interview with Ahomka FM.

He added, “I propose that, Ghana Football Association (GFA) should put in their maximum effort to establish academy in all the regions in Ghana to enhance the development of players and nurture talent”.

The ex-Asante Kotoko trainer has applied for the Technical Director role at the GFA and says this is of many proposals he will be making to the GFA.
