Berekum Chelsea defender Patrick Asiedu arrives in Kumasi to seal Asante Kotoko
Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko is expected to seal the signing of Berekum Chelsea defender Patrick Asiedu by the close of the day.
Asiedu arrived in Kumasi on Friday morning and will undergo his mandatory medical before putting pen to paper.
The Porcupine Warriors have had a busy market and are expected to seal the signing of the highly-rated left-back.
The 21-year-old delivered a top class performance for Berekum Chelsea, who finished third in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League campaign.
Asiedu’s outstanding performance caught the eyes of Asante Kotoko and other Ghana Premier League clubs.
But the defender has opted to join the Porcupine Warriors in the ongoing transfer window.
Asiedu will pen a three-year deal that will keep at the former Ghana Premier League winners until 2027.
Kotoko are desperate to make amends in the upcoming season following a disappointing performance last term, where the Porcupine Warriors finished sixth on the league log.
