Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko reveals positives from Dreams FC friendly

Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko says his side will hugely benefit from their friendly game against Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC on Wednesday.

Ghana U-23 side beat Dreams 2-1 at the Accra Stadium. Goals from Hagan Frimpong and Ishmael Dede handed coach Tanko’s side the victory as Ali Huzaif pulled one back for the Premier League outfit.

The game forms part of the Black Meteors preparation for the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique.

'The game against Dreams is our first competitive match since camping for about two weeks," coach Tanko told ghanafa.org.

"We won 2-1 but definitely there is more room for improvement. We will improve on this performance as we prepare to play against Accra Lions as part of straightening our team for the task ahead."

Black Meteors will play another Premier League side Accra Lions in a friendly match on Saturday, October 9, 2022.

Ghana will face Mozambique in a double header later this month with the winner moving on to play the winner of the tie between Algeria and DR Congo.
