After an early exit from the Afcon U-23 tournament, Black Meteors' goalkeeper, Jordan Amissah, remains optimistic that his team will emerge stronger than ever.

The Black Meteors finished third in Group A following a 1-1 tie with Guinea. Ghana beat Congo 3-2 in their first game and lost 5-1 to host Morocco.

Ghana will thus miss the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, marking the country's 20th absence from the sport's men's football category.

Amissah, an unused goalie in Morocco, believes the tournament taught him valuable lessons.

"Sad to see our AFCON journey end so soon and in this manner but we all take a valuable lesson from this experience and hope to bounce back stronger," he wrote on Twitter.

Jordan Amissah is set to return to his club for pre season training ahead of the new season.

Black Meteors' abysmal performance at the Afcon U-23 tournament has been slammed by Ghanaians.
