Black Princesses prepare for 13th African Games at Cape Coast camp

The anticipation for the upcoming 13th African Games is palpable as Ghana's U-20 Women's football team, known as the Black Princesses, has convened in Cape Coast to commence their training camp.

Led by Coach Yussif Basigi, the team is determined to make a mark in the tournament, with their eyes set on clinching the coveted title.

Among the notable players summoned to the camp are Hasaacas Ladies' Striker, Abdulai Mukarama, and Stella Nyamekye. Their inclusion underscores the team's commitment to assembling a formidable squad capable of competing at the highest level.

The Black Princesses' journey in the tournament will commence with a match against Ethiopia on March 9th at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium. Subsequently, they will face off against Tanzania and Uganda in what promises to be thrilling Group A encounters.

The continental multi-sport event held every four-years, will be played at the Games village in Borteyman, the Accra Sports Stadium, the University of Ghana Stadium, and the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The 13th African Games are scheduled to take place from Friday, March 8 to Saturday, March 23, 2024.
