As the Black Queens gear up for their crucial 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Zambia, head coach Nora Hauptle took a moment to commend midfielder Freda Ayisi for her unwavering commitment to representing Ghana on the international stage.

In an exclusive interview during a training session at the Accra Sports Stadium, Hauptle expressed her pride in Ayisi's decision to play for Ghana, highlighting the midfielder's deep connection to her homeland.

Ayisi, who currently plies her trade for Charlton Athletic, made the decision to commit to playing for Ghana, despite having other options available to her.

Hauptle emphasized the importance of players like Ayisi who not only possess skill but also a profound sense of national pride.

“We are working to find Ghanaians from England but have ancestors from Ghana and she is proud to play for our country. She is a very good footballer and we are working on other four, five players," she told Citi Sports.

"It’s a process to bring them in but I’m that she committed and her heart is beating for Ghana,” she added.
