Black Satellites goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad delighted with Black Stars call-up

Black Satellites goalkeeper, Ibrahim Danlad has expressed his happiness after earning a call-up to the senior national team, the Black Stars.

Coach CK Akonnor has handed Danlad a late call-up ahead of upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Danlad, a goalkeeper of Asante Kotoko, who was adjudged the Best Goalkeeper at the just ended Africa U-20 Cup of Nations has been included in the Black Stars squad.

The 18-year-old joins Eric Ofori Antwi, Joseph Addo and Razak Abalora in camp to continue preparations.

He churned out impressive performances as the Black Satellites won the 2021 Africa U20 Championship in Mauritania.

The highly-rated youngster kept six games for Ghana and conceded three goals.

Ghana will take on South Africa on March 25, before hosting São Tomé and Principe four days later.

The Black Stars sit at the top of Group C with 9 points and are in search of a ticket to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
