Black Starlets beat Republicans 3-1 in friendly

The Black Starlets of Ghana beat division two side Republican 3-1 in a friendly in Aburi as part of their preparations towards the Africa Under 17 championship to be held in Gabon.

 

The twinkle twinkle little stars scored two goals before the break. Starlets dominated the entire first half and it paid off with a two goal lead.

 

Starlets continued even strongly after the break adding another to make it three before Republicans pulled one back.

 

Ghana have been drawn in group A with host Gabon, Guinea and Cameroon.

 

The Black Starlets are expected to leave the country for Nigeria as part of plans to win the AFCON U-17 championship.
