The National under 17, the Black Starlets produced a superb performance in their opening game at the Africa Junior Championship as the walloped their Cameroonian counterparts 4-0.

Captain Eric Ayiah and Ibrahim Sulley each scored a brace as the coach Paa Kwasi Fabin’s side got off to a bright start in the championship.

Ghana started the game composed and confident and could have opened the scoring when Eric Ayiah was fouled in the box.

However, it didn’t take too long as the leader of the side, Eric Ayiah connected to a Emmanuel Toku cross to get the first of his brace in the 25 minute.

Seven minutes later, Ibrahim Sulley doubled the lead after placing perfectly in the top corner from a cross on the left flank.

Sulley completed his brace with a delicate chipping over the Cameroonian goalkeeper.

The twinkle twinkle little stars went to dominate the game entirely before Captain Eyiah had his second of the night with a ferocious strike.

The win puts Ghana on same poits with Guinea who had earlier beaten host Gabon 5-1.

Ghana next plays host Gabon with Cameroon playing Guinea.
