Boost for Hearts of Oak as top defender Kelvin Osei Asibey returns from injury ahead of Aduana Stars clash

Ghana Premier League outfit Hearts of Oak have been boosted by the return of dependable defender Kelvin Osei Asibey.

The former Eleven Wonders centre-back has been out if action for some time after picking up injury. He established himself as a key member of the team since joining the club until injury kept him out of action.

The 23-year-old, who had a flying start to his debut campaign at Hearts of Oak has managed 14 appearances in the Ghana Premier League.

Assibey has started recovery training with the Phobians physical trainer Jordan Enoch Daitey and is expected to return to action as soon as possible.

Hearts of Oak will play host to Aduana Stars in a highly competitive fixture on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

It is unknown whether the highly-rated defender could be called to action by head coach Aboubakar Ouattara.

His return comes as a huge boost for the Ghanaian giants who are aiming for strong finish to the Premier League campaign.

With five games to end the season, Hearts of Oak find themselves in eleventh position on the Premier League standings.
