Burden is on all stakeholders to ensure games are played fairly in Ghana – Prosper Harrison Addo

The General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Prosper Harrison Addo, has urged all football stakeholders in Ghana to take responsibility for what happens to the game in the country.

He believes that for football to be played fairly in Ghana, everyone involved needs to treat games as if they are their personal property.

Harrison Addo claims that people make all sorts of allegations when they grant interviews to radio stations but can’t explain themselves when they appear before the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

“When it comes to committee sittings, I've been the Disciplinary Committee Chairman before. Players come and cry, forget what they say on radio,” he said at the 2024 Afro Sport Summit.

“People will be interviewed on radio and they will say all sorts of things and be mature about things but when they come before the committee, you ask one question and they'll start crying.

“There are people who say they are soothsayers who says they can see the score lines, I don't doubt them I don't worry about them.

“All I want is the game to be played fairly and the burden is on all of us including the supporters. That burden is on all of us.

“Sometimes it's funny you hear club officials saying and the GFA, you are the GFA.”
